Hey! I think it's about time for a Real Update.

I had a lot of complaining to do about my job, but as soon as I got home it all just washed away. Suffice to say that I lose my faith in humanity once per shift and would be very happy if I never had to pretend to smile at someone ever again. And if I never have to make a White Chocolate Mocha again, it will be too soon.

Anyway, ponies! I have some pictures that I meant to post about.... three weeks ago. Oops.

These were taken by a boarder a while back and she sent them to me via Facebook. Gem still had her Wild Mare thing going on when these were taken - you don't wanna know what her mane looked like on the other side. I don't know why her halter was so loose; I keep fixing it and somebody obviously thinks it's too tight because it keeps getting magically bigger. Yesterday it was inside out. Go figure.

Zoom!

I can't tell who the other mare is. It is possibly Mandy, which would explain why Gem is managing to run faster.

My favorite is the chunk of grass she snagged. Typical.

And just for kicks, this is Sunny, the pony I used to ride at one of my old barns. (Not me riding - I stole this from some kid on FB.) He may be cute, but that pony is evil incarnate.

Anyway, I'm test riding a dressage saddle tomorrow. I know, it's bad, I shouldn't spend money, I might decide not to ride dressage after all, blah blah blah. It's a Neidersuss and it's selling for $450. These saddles are over 2 grand new, kids. It's a short flap as well, so I think it's a good find. I hope it works out - I'm nervous, though, because it's going to be very obvious how green both Gem and I are when the girl watches us go. I know that green is nothing to be ashamed about, but still. :/ Hopefully Gem doesn't embarrass me too much.

Oh you're girl is a beauty! I just love her face, there's so much attitude/personality there! ^_~

I hope your ride with the dressage saddle goes well! Good Luck!
